'The Lighthouse' (4 Parts) by Nigel Fairs |
All irregularities will be handled by the forces controlling each dimension. Transuranic, heavy elements may not be used where there is life. Medium atomic weights are available: Gold, Lead, Copper, Jet, Diamond, Radium, Sapphire, Silver and Steel. Sapphire and Steel have been assigned.
Penrith Point lighthouse in the middle of a thunderstorm.
In the lamp-room, a young man is being sketched. Downstairs in the coal-room a newly married couple meet with their architect to discuss their plans to develop the lighthouse into a home. On the stairs two children play a deadly game of cat and mouse.
And somewhere two strangers – one a man in a sharp, grey suit, the other a beautiful woman with bright blue eyes – are seeing time twist out of shape in front of them.
An horrific act of violence has consequences that even Sapphire and Steel find difficult to contend with.
